How to buy: Vouchers are available directly from our website at lake-district-tours.com/gift-vouchers. They are delivered digitally — you receive a printable PDF with a unique voucher code, which can also be forwarded directly to the recipient by email.
Validity: Vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. This gives the recipient a full year to choose their date, which removes the pressure of fixed dates that can make experience gifts impractical.
How to redeem: When booking, the recipient enters the voucher code at checkout and the voucher value is deducted from the tour price. If the voucher does not cover the full amount, the balance is paid at booking.

December in the Lake District is quiet, often beautiful and completely different from summer. The villages have their Christmas lights. The fells are occasionally snow-capped. The lakes in winter light have a stillness and a colour that summer cannot replicate.
We run our literary tours and day trips through December on a reduced schedule. The Wordsworth tours are particularly atmospheric in December — Dove Cottage in winter is closer to the experience Wordsworth and Dorothy actually had than a July visit can be. The Brontë moors in December, if the weather allows, are extraordinary.

Can I buy a voucher for a specific tour rather than a monetary value?

What if the recipient wants to use the voucher for a more expensive tour?
They simply pay the difference when booking. The voucher is applied as credit against the total tour price.
Can vouchers be used for private tours?
