The person you give this to will choose their tour, choose their date and spend a day in one of the finest landscapes in England with a guide who makes it mean something. Not a generic experience. A specific, considered day that becomes a story they tell for years. Not sure when to use it? Winter is the season most people overlook and the one the locals prefer.

Simple, straightforward and genuinely flexible.
01
Match one of our tour prices, or choose any amount you like. A voucher holds a value rather than a named tour, so it can go towards one person or several.
02
Tell us what you would like it to say and we will put it on the voucher. We write these by hand rather than dropping them into a template.
03
By email as a PDF, or printed on good card and posted — whichever suits. We confirm timing when you order, so you know exactly when it will land.
04
They contact us quoting the voucher number, and we find them a date. Redeemable against any scheduled tour on a day it is running, or against a private or bespoke day. Valid for 12 months.
Our standard voucher amounts match our tour prices — or buy any amount and let the recipient choose.
Morning tour · Wray Castle, Near Sawrey, Hill Top, Hawkshead, Tarn Hows

The most personal gift
A private tour means the vehicle and guide are exclusively theirs. No other guests, no fixed pace. For a significant birthday, anniversary, a family gathering or a retirement gift, a private Lake District Tours experience is genuinely extraordinary. The whole day, entirely their own, with an expert guide who can build the itinerary around exactly what they want to see.
We arrange every voucher personally rather than through an automated checkout — which means we can get the wording right, choose the delivery that suits, and answer any questions before you commit. Tell us what you have in mind and we will come straight back to you.

Whichever suits the occasion.
A
A PDF voucher sent to you or straight to the recipient, with your message on it. Print it at home, put it in a card, or simply forward it. Best if you are short of time.
B
Printed properly on good card and posted to you or to them. Rather nicer to open, and it makes a better job of being an actual present. Please allow time for the post, particularly in December.
Worth being clear about, so nobody is disappointed.
01
By phone or email, quoting the voucher number. There is no automated checkout — a person handles it, which means we can help them choose.
02
A voucher can be used against any scheduled tour on a date that tour is actually running, or against a private or bespoke day, which can be arranged for almost any date. Not every tour runs every day, so it is worth asking early.
03
The voucher value is deducted from the cost of the day. If the day costs more, they pay the difference. If it costs less, the balance stays on the voucher for next time.
04
Maximum seven guests, and a guide who lives here. The rest is just a very good day out.
Something to look forward to through January and February. The planning, the anticipation, the choosing of a date — as much of a gift as the day itself.
50th, 60th, 70th — a private tour for a milestone birthday is one of the most considered gifts available. The whole day, entirely theirs.
A Beatrix Potter tour for a mother who loves the books, or a Wordsworth morning for one who loves the poetry. Personal, specific, genuinely memorable.
The Wordsworth afternoon tour and the Beatrix Potter Hill Top & Windermere Cruise tour both make exceptional anniversary gifts — ending with a cruise on Windermere.
A day in the Lake District with an expert guide. Romantic landscapes, great stories, ending with a boat on Windermere. Better than dinner.
A private full-day tour — the entire Lakes, with a guide who can build the day around exactly what they have always wanted to see.
Short, and worth reading before you buy.
It can go towards any tour we run, but it has to be redeemed on a date that tour is actually operating. Our scheduled tours do not all run every day. A private or bespoke day can be arranged for almost any date, so if the timing is tight that is usually the simpler route.
Twelve months from the date of issue, and the expiry date is printed on the voucher. If someone comes to us just after it has lapsed, please still get in touch — we would far rather find them a date than turn them away.
Either. We can send a PDF by email to you or straight to the recipient, or print it on card and post it. Emailed is quicker; printed makes a better present to open. Tell us which you would like when you order, and allow extra time for the post in December.
The difference is simply payable when the booking is made. A voucher holds a value rather than a specific tour, so it can be put towards anything we run. If the day costs less than the voucher, the balance stays on it for another time.
Yes, and it is one of the nicest gifts we do. Private tours start from £459 per group for a half day, with the vehicle and guide exclusively theirs. Bespoke days are quoted individually and terms are confirmed at enquiry.
Yes, subject to our normal booking terms and to availability on the new date. The value returns to the voucher rather than being lost, provided notice is given in line with those terms.
Yes. A voucher holds a value, so it can cover one person or be put towards several places on the same day. It can also be split across two separate bookings if there is value left over.
